Top 5 KBS Korean Historical Dramas

Top 5 KBS Korean Historical Drama

Korean historical dramas tend to be a great hit among the Asian community. This article shows the Top 5 Korean Historical Dramas I have watched during the past few years.

#1 Daewang Saejong (King Sejong the Great)

Daewang Saejong recounts the life of the fourth king in the Joseon Dynasty. He is arguably the most significant figure in Korean history for developing the Korean language. There are many popular Korean actors starring in this drama like Lee Yoon Ji, Kim Yeong Cheol, and Kim Sang Kyung.

#2 The Iron Empress

The Iron Empress depicts the war between the Korean Goryeo dynasty and the Liao Dynasty. One woman stands in the way of the Liao Kingdom, Cheon Chu Tae Hu. If you like action and war then check out this drama.

#3 Dae Joyoung

Dae Joyoung is another drama filled with awesome battle scenes. It goes through the life of Dae Joyoung who fights many obstacles in order to realize his dream of finding a new kingdom, which is eventually called Balhae. Dae Joyoung can get a little tedious sometimes.

#4 Chuno

Chuno is about the life of a slave hunter (once a noble) who has been trying to find his love for the past ten years.

#5  Dae Jang Geum

Dae Jang Geum created a Korean food sensation in many countries. It is about the life of an average palace servant who becomes an awesome cook and physician.

You can watch all these dramas on Mysoju.

I have been watching Korean dramas/movies for a very long time and I find Dae Jand Geum as my No. 1 drama, 2nd comes Jumong, The Emperor of the Sea is No. 3, Dong Yi of course has to take No.4, Damo follows at No.6, Yi San No.7, and then there are a whole lot more Korean Historical dramas that are just as outstanding and awesome to watch as those named above. These historical dramas just grip your attention from beginning to the end and no other country can make dramas so fantastic, so awe inspiring, and also make you glad, angry, tearful, scared at times, and even sad all in one movie. My hat is off to the hard working actors and acteresses but most especially to the producer and all the people behing the scene. Thanks for bringing these great dramas to us the public. Thank you for these well produced dramas. I enjoy them ever so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
