Startup of the Week: MileWise, Search Engine for Frequent Fliers
This week, we have a look at MileWise, a search engine that helps frequent fliers find the best value for their mileage points. This would be an extremely useful tool for frequent fliers as one would be able to track your mileage points in one place. The deals are organized in a cleancut table, with each deal getting a score out of 100.
How does it work?
1) Sign up for a MileWise account.
2) Add all your reward program accounts (you have to sign with your online ward program accounts to verify).
3) Search your traveling dates and locations.
4) Have a look at the deals on offer. Milewise uses a formula to determine the best deal on offer.
Milewise compiles their data from online travel companies such as Orbitz, and directly from airlines. You also have the options to customize your results based on airline preferences and payment methods. Personally, I have no use for this service as I am a member for only one reward program, but this could be beneficial for those who are a part of more than one. Click here to check out Milewise.
